At ratemy.cv, we believe job seekers deserve privacy. You're sharing sensitive career information with us, and we take that responsibility seriously.

What We DON'T Collect

Your resume content — Never stored, never logged, never shared
Job descriptions you paste — Processed in memory only
Personal information — No accounts, no emails, no names
Uploaded files — Processed client-side in your browser, never uploaded to our servers

What We DO Collect

We collect minimal, anonymous data to improve the tool:

Job titles searched — Anonymously logged to understand what roles people are applying for (helps us write better guides)
Average match scores — Aggregate statistics only
Basic analytics — Page views, device type, country (via Cloudflare Analytics — no cookies required)

How Your Resume is Processed

You upload or paste your resume
PDF/DOCX files are processed in your browser using JavaScript — the file never leaves your device
The extracted text is sent to our API for analysis
Our AI analyzes the content and returns feedback
The text is immediately discarded — nothing is stored

Third-Party Services

We use the following services:

Anthropic (Claude AI) — Processes your resume text. Their privacy policy
Netlify — Hosts our website. Their privacy policy
Cloudflare — Provides analytics and security. Their privacy policy

Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

Cookie consent preference — Remembers if you've accepted/declined cookies
Rate limit tracking — Stored locally to enforce the 3 scans/day limit

We do NOT use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies.

Data Retention

Since we don't store your resume or personal data, there's nothing to retain or delete. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 12 months.

Since we don't collect personal data, GDPR/CCPA data subject requests don't apply. However, if you have any concerns, please contact us.
